Exclusive sake & Kurobuta canapés night
Monday 24th February 19:00 – 21:00

now booking!!!

Very exciting news!  Hayashi-san, head of Hayashi Honten brewery, is visiting the UK at the end of this month. So, we thought it was a good excuse for a party! We’ve teamed up with the ever-amazing Kurobuta restaurant on the King’s Road to run an exclusive, rock-and-roll, Kurobuta-style sake event.

The Sake

rieko

Hayashi-san is the head of Hayashi Honten brewery in Gifu, Japan.  Hayashi Honten are quite a young brewery (since 1920 anyway!) and produce a range of sake that is dynamic, superbly balanced, original, exciting and absolutely delicious.

If you’re looking for something different, or just simply want to expand your sake repertoire, these guys are a great place to look.

The Food

The Head Chef of Kurobuta is Scott Hallsworth, ex-Head Chef of Nobu and Wabi (amongst others).

scott

Ahh Scott. Mr Hallsworth. Scottie boy. You are such a talented and busy bee aren’t you? His private clients have included the Beckhams, Bill Clinton and obviously…me, and he’s never failed to impress.

The London Sinner

The food Scott and his team cook up is, quite simply, fantastic. The restaurant on the King’s Road was just meant to be a three-month pop-up, Oct-Dec last year but, such was the success of the joint, it’s still going strong.

What’s gonna happen on the night?

Hayashi-san and I are going to be serving five, distinct sake from Hayashi Honten and Scott is going to be preparing a whole raft of delicious canapés to go with each one.  Kurobuta favourites such as:

are all going to feature. This is going to be a night of fantastic food and superb sake in an awesome venue with a rock & roll vibe…
